Contents include a treatise rebutting a pamphlet attacking the reign of Queen Elizabeth; A discourse on court and courtiers, dedicated to the Duke of Lennox; an autobiography by Sir Thomas Bodley; a treatise by Sir Francis Bacon on maintaining the Council of the Marches in Wales; a treatise by William Bird concerning the law of wreck and salvage; and other treatises, speeches, and letters by figures such as Sir Henry Spelman; Sir Thomas Wilson; Francis Norris, Earl of Berkshire; Sir Thomas Egerton, Baron Ellesmere and Viscount Brackley; John Williams, Archbishop of York; and Sir Edward Coke.
